And in doing so, have noticed quite a few things no one else has seemed to address. Warning, there be spoilers.
Why is Assistant Mayor Bellwether's eyes round and human-like while all the other sheep have side-ways oval eyes? Perhaps its just to make her seem more innocent and friendly, but still seems weird. And I'm sure sheep are significantly bigger than rabbits, but Bellwether is not, and she's surely not a lamb. is she a pygmy sheep? Do those even exist? Is she possibly another animal in disguise? Maybe she's a hybrid. :O
Also a funny thing I noticed when she almost trips over a mouse while carrying a stack of books, I'm sure the mouse clearly flips her the bird.
At one point Nick tells Judy that she'll probably end up in an emotional pit of despair, living in a box under a bridge, but later you see him chilling next to a bridge looking pretty hobo-y, was he referring to himself? Maybe he bankrupted himself attempting to build Wild Times, never able to repay Mr. Big the money he loaned, and possibly tried to sell him that skunk butt rug to partially make up for it, which could be another reason they hated him. Also, for some reason I got this vibe that his parents were dead, (I don't think it was ever said if he was born in Zootopia or moved there later on) or perhaps his family was poor and he became a con-artist to try and support them.
I need answers!
Well those were the major questions, although I'm sure there will be more.

The predominant fan theory seems to be that Nick has a dead mother and an either absent or unknown father.
That last part is particularly significant: Since foxes usually mate for life, being born out of wedlock or being an abandoned child would be especially stigmatizing for a kit - as if being a predator in a prey-dominated society and a fox at that wasn't hard enough already.
